My name is Christopher Penn and I'd like to ask for your assistance with PodCamp Boston. What is PodCamp Boston? PodCamp Boston is an unconference being held September 9-10, 2006 in Boston. It's an "unconference", meaning that it's a conference organized in an ad-hoc manner for everyone to attend and participate in. There are no keynote speakers or rigidly defined schedules - think of it as a grassroots trade show. Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join. We are planning and anticipating a crowd of approximately 200 of the most plugged-in, most active bloggers, podcasters, video podcasters, and pro-am journalists in the New England area and beyond.

I'm asking for your assistance today because while the event is free for attendees, making it a reality is not free. I would love to have company name be a sponsor of PodCamp. In return for sponsoring the event with $200 or more, you and your company will receive a whole slew of benefits:

- Your company's name will be splashed everywhere online, in multiple blogs, podcasts, journals, web sites and more - thousands of dollars worth of free publicity online

- Your association with the event will also generate tremendous search engine benefits for your company, as there will be literally hundreds of blogs and podcasts linking to your web site

- You'll get a free "booth" at the Unexpo floor to showcase any products/services that you may want to feature

- You'll be publicly thanked at the event and have the opportunity to say 5 words (think Webby Awards speech) at the event (if you sponsor a meal, you'll be able to present those 5 words before the meal)

- If you opt to sponsor the T-Shirts, your corporate logo will appear on the right sleeve
