PodCampBoston2Evenings

PodCamp Boston2 NightLife! !!!

What goes on at night at PodCamp Boston 2?

List out the Birds of a Feather dinners that people are gathering. Here's the premise: someone makes reservations at a restaurant (and we should have different price points), and then you gather up based on things of mutual interest. Are you foodies? You'll want to hang with Chef Mark Tafoya and Jennifer Iannolo. (They'll fill you in below). Are you just looking for burgers and some serious talk about audio podcasting? Start a BOAF group.

What's on the go?

FOOD LOVERS' DINNER

(Date to be confirmed -- likely Saturday)

Time: 8PM (to be confirmed)

Organizer: Culinary Podcast Network / Chef Mark Tafoya & Jennifer Iannolo

Restaurant: Tremont 647, 647 Tremont Street (South End)

http://www.tremont647.com

Here's the Skinny from Jennifer:

We love to eat and drink, and love it even more when we can share the experience with others. Andy Husbands is the chef/owner of Tremont 647 and an old pal of mine, and his food rocks. It's American food with a fabulous twist, including everything from succulent ribs and BBQ to "tater tots" infused with truffle oil. If you are passionate about food and wine, we would be delighted to share your company for an evening of fun; there are no formal discussions to be had, but we would of course love to gather content (audio & video) for some of our CPN shows while we're at it.

Since space is limited, please RSVP to me at jiannolo at GMail by October 15th at the latest to reserve your spot. We'd like to keep the gathering to around 20 people. You can see pricing and menus via the link above. We look forward to it!

Other Boston Attractions!!!

Here are some other Boston attractions (with night time hours) that might be of interest to PodCamp Boston attendees. Note: These are posted for general information purposes. But if anyone whats to formally organize a group outing please add you name and contact info as organizer.

Institute for Contemporary Art

The Boston Institute for Contemporary Art, which recently opened its doors, is located just a couple blocks away from PodCamp Boston and the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. Admission to the museum is $12. And if you are arriving early or staying through the VON/Video on the Net Conference, admission to the Institute for Contemporary Art is free on Thursdays from 5 PM till 9 PM.

Also the last Saturday of the month (PodCamp Saturday) is free for Families. Apparently this means you must have children (ages 12 and under) with you and the free admission only extends up to two adults. So our PodCamp family of Great Uncle CC Chapman, our long lost Uncle Steve Garfield, our nearly-blew-up-the-garage big brother Bre Prettis, our wise cousin Whitney Hoffman, and our ever lovable Daddy and very pretty Mommy Chris and Chris sadly does not count. But seriously if you bring your kids to PodCamp or plan to meet them you can get in free on that Saturday.

Friday Night!!!

Hi this is Jonathan Bloom. My dad, David Bloom, and I will NOT be attending the Friday Night party. If anyone is interested in hanging out, we have a car, then please contact us at: 614-207-4298, 614-648-0097, or email us at jonathan AT jonathandbloom DOT COM.

SATURDAY NIGHT

If anyone is looking for some nightlife entertainment on Saturday night, a friend of mine, DJ Prolific will be spinning hip hop and top 40 at Our House East near the Northeastern University campus. Drinks are reasonably priced and there is no cover charge. The attire is casual and it is a young 20-somethings crowd. It's located at 52 Gainsborough Street in Boston. Music starts at 10pm and there is no cover charge. - posted by Damien Dong
